From these intrepid beginnings, the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival took root and steadily grew into a multi-day annual gathering that not only brings Salt Lake’s outdoor community together—it grows that community, too.

We started Hence with a mission to create something meaningful. The team is built and driven to seek, learn, and help tell the stories of those doing difficult things and experiencing the natural environment around them.

Over the course of 24 hours in the fall of 2014, the Baja Peninsula was hit with a major Category 3 hurricane, a tornado, and an earthquake. And for a short time—that felt like days or weeks—my friend Autumn was missing amidst the destruction.
